About Dr Alexander

Dr Alwich N Alexander is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon practising in Pretoria. With a repertoire for foot and ankle surgery, he believes in helping patients achieve mobility and comfort.

Dr Alexander obtained his undergraduate Medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2008 and completed his Master's in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pretoria in 2018. In 2019, he received his postgraduate Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at The Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Unit at the University of Witswatersrand.

In 2020, Dr Alexander began his journey as a Consultant in Trauma and Foot and Ankle Surgery at Steve Biko Academic Hospital and started his private practice in the same year. In addition, he took up a position as Senior Lecturer at the University of Pretoria Medical School where he continues to train medical and postgraduate Master's students.

Dr Alexander has actively been involved in researching topics surrounding foot and ankle surgery and is also a member of the South African Foot Surgeons Association (SAFSA) and the South African Orthopaedic Association (SAOA).
